Event Details

From sketch to complete framable watercolour art! Perfect for beginners! Participants will design and paint a watercolour wreath (on 9x12" paper), suitable for framing. No watercolour experience necessary—Yippee! In the first half of the workshop, we will explore the medium itself, by looking at watercolour tools (brushes, papers, paints), how to mix colours, wet and dry techniques, and the sketch-to-art process. In the second half of our time together, you will design, sketch, illustrate, paint and combine simple flowers, leaves, vines, feathers—even lettering (have you attended one of our calligraphy or lettering workshops?)—to create a stunning, one-of-a-kind watercolour wreath for you to enjoy or give a loved one! $75 per person + HST  |  Suitable for women and girls, ages 12+ Supplies + tea/coffee provided. Participants are welcome to bring their own snacks. Limit of six (6) participants.  |  As workshops fill up, additional dates will be considered. Advance payment required to hold your spot. Cancellations must be made 72 hours prior to the event in order to receive a refund. NOTE: Until a more suitable and cost-effective location can be secured, our workshops will be held in my Kanata home. We do have dogs, though they will be in another room during the event. Please let me know if you have concerns or allergies. Also, guests are asked to park in Visitor Parking, just a few steps away from our door. Daytime guests need not register their vehicles.
