Hooray, hooray, it’s time to play! Creative Play, that is! We all know children love to play and create. This March Break day camp offers children ages 8 to 13 opportunities to explore many forms of creative play to inspire and intrigue children with creative spirits! Our days together will include time exploring the following techniques + activities:

• lettering + illustration
• watercolours + acrylics
• crafts + games
• drama + dance
• story writing + sharing

Each day will include time discussing our creative spirits (hello, self-talk), moving our bodies (get those creative juices flowing), and expanding our creative experiences. During our watercolour time, we will create Kindness Cards for your child to leave in public places, or distribute to “people that they meet as they’re walking down the street” (I’m a huge Sesame Street fan from way back!). Our time with acrylics will include painting a large 16x16" canvas they will be proud to hang at home, as well as the decoration of their very own 60-page art journal. Lettering + illustration techniques will be demonstrated and used to embellish + personalize their larger projects. There will be plenty of time throughout the day to stretch not only our bodies, but our minds, and spirits as well :)

$240 + HST per child | Suitable for girls + boys, ages 8 to 13 9am – 4pm, March 12–16, 2018 (extended hours available) No experience necessary. All supplies included. Campers are asked to bring their own snacks + lunch. Limit of eight (8) participants who are imaginative, mindful, inspired, and willing to learn in a cooperative environment. Advance payment required to hold your child’s spot. Refunds are not available for this event, though your spot may be transferred to another participant at no additional charge. NOTE: This camp will be hosted at my Kanata/Stittsville home. My street is still under development, so street parking will be limited. Please arrive up to 15 minutes early (8:45am) to facilitate drop-off, and pick-up up no more than 15 minutes after camp ends (4:15pm). I do have a very gentle dog who will be tucked away in another part of the house during the day.
